Arrive in Delhi at any time, with your arrival transfer provided through Women With Wheels, a G Adventures-supported project.
There are no planned activities until the evening welcome meeting, giving you time to check into the hotel and explore the city at your own pace. To ensure you're well-rested for the busy journey ahead, we highly recommend booking a pre-night in Delhi to adjust to the time zone and unwind.
Begin your exploration of Delhi, the capital of India, which consists of two distinct cities: historic Delhi and the more modern New Delhi, constructed by the British in the early 20th century. Start your day by visiting New Delhi’s vibrant Paharganj district on a youth-led walk through the G Adventures-supported City Walk project. Learn about the program’s efforts to provide opportunities to at-risk street youth while hearing firsthand accounts of their experiences.
Next, venture into the winding lanes of Old Delhi, where you'll visit the 17th-century Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, and the Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib Sikh temple, located near a bustling shopping area. In the afternoon, travel to Agra.
Your B for Best Moment: City Walk (2-3 km)
Join a youth-led walking tour of Delhi with a guide from the City Walk project, offering you a unique perspective of the city. Your local guide will share insights into life as a child in India while supporting their education with the proceeds of the tour.

Spend the day immersing yourself in the history of Agra, a city that once served as the capital of the Delhi Sultanate and later the Mughal Empire. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a symbol of love. This stunning white marble mausoleum was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Afterward, head to the Baby Taj, the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal's grandfather, often referred to as the "jewel box" due to its delicate and intricate design. Built before the Taj Mahal, this monument was commissioned by Queen Nur Jahan for her father and is regarded as the first Mughal building to be clad in white marble.

First, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a stunning city built entirely from red sandstone. Once the capital of the Mughal Empire, it was established by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Next, venture to Bhaktapur, Nepal’s medieval capital, known as the "City of Devotees." Begin the day with a visit to the Swayambhunath Temple, perched atop a hill and renowned for its vibrant prayer flags and iconic Buddha eyes. Later, hear about Chhing Lhomi, a National Geographic Grantee, and her efforts to preserve the weaving traditions of the Upper Mustang region through the Himalayan Indigenous Society, a Kathmandu-based nonprofit. Afterward, travel to the peaceful village of Pharping, famous for its Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Here, you’ll stay in a tranquil monastery guesthouse, where you’ll get an insider’s view of monastery life. You’ll have the chance to attend a chanting and prayer service, or simply take a walk through the monastery’s serene grounds.
To add to the experience, participate in a cooking demonstration at a local community restaurant, where you’ll learn how to make Nepalese momos (dumplings). Today, journey to Royal Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s oldest wildlife reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Established in 1973 and designated a UNESCO site in 1984, this park spans 932 km² (579 mi²) and is home to an incredible variety of wildlife. With 43 species of mammals, including the one-horned rhino and Bengal tiger, along with 450 species of birds and 45 species of amphibians and reptiles, the park offers an unforgettable wildlife experience.
After arriving at your lodge, located along the East Rapti River, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for a river safari. Hop aboard a traditional flat-bottomed patela boat for a peaceful trip down the river, keeping an eye out for aquatic birds, crocodiles, gharials, and other river-dwelling creatures.

Next, meet a “tiger technician” from the Nepal Tiger Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of Bengal tigers. Learn about the important work being done to ensure their survival.
Afterwards, take a visit to a farming village located on the park’s border, where you’ll gain insight into the daily life of the rural communities that coexist with the wildlife. In the evening, return to the lodge where you’ll enjoy a traditional dance performance by the local Tharu people, offering a unique cultural experience to end the day.
Drive to the picturesque town of Pokhara, set along the shores of the stunning Phewa Lake, framed by snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Once a bustling trade route between India and Tibet, Pokhara is now a serene haven offering both natural beauty and cultural charm.
Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk around the city, exploring its scenic lakes, quaint streets, and vibrant atmosphere. You’ll also have the option to enjoy dinner at one of the city’s popular local restaurants.
Nestled at an altitude of 827m (2,713 ft), Pokhara is known for its tranquil setting, with mule trains still visible in the area, carrying goods from remote Himalayan regions. This enchanting town, surrounded by lush valleys and offering panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, is a perfect place to relax and soak in the natural beauty.
Start your day early with a journey to Sarangkot village, where you'll hike to the renowned Sarangkot lookout for a stunning sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayas. Afterward, return to Pokhara and embark on a scenic climb through a lush forest path to reach the serene World Peace Pagoda. Built by Japanese monks after World War II, this gleaming white structure offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.
Later, visit the Tashiling Tibetan Refugee Settlement, established by the United Nations in 1964 to house refugees fleeing Tibet. During a walk through the settlement, learn about the community's history and culture while visiting their photo gallery. Enjoy a traditional Tibetan lunch of momos at a local restaurant, supporting this vibrant community.
In your free time, consider taking a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake to relax and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the area.
Note: The hike to the World Peace Pagoda can be quite strenuous, with steps leading to the top. If you prefer not to take part in this hike, please inform your CEO to opt for an alternative activity.
Fly back to Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to explore the city. You can shop for souvenirs in the lively Thamel district, known for its colorful markets and eclectic shops. Alternatively, visit the Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal's most sacred Hindu temple complex, located along the banks of the Bagmati River.
In the afternoon, you have more time to discover Kathmandu’s rich culture. Visit the burning ghats at Pashupatinath, where funeral rites are performed, or explore Swayambhunath, the famous Monkey Temple that offers panoramic views of the city. Kathmandu's charm lies in its many hidden corners, so feel free to wander through the narrow streets and see where the city takes you.
